The bulk contact management resources help you manage the status of one or more contacts in relation to a single or multiple contact lists with a single call. The most common use cases for these resources are:
- Quickly importing the contact base from your Application or CRM into your Mailjet account.
- Clearing your contact lists by unsubscribing or removing contacts from them in regular intervals.
The available methods are:
- Manage the subscription status of a single contact to multiple contact lists
- Manage the subscription status of multiple contacts to a single contact list
- Manage the subscription status of multiple contacts to multiple contact lists
- Manage the link of multiple contacts to a list via a CSV upload
When using these resources, you always need to select an action to be performed:
addforce: Add the contacts to the list and subscribe all of them. If the contact is already present in the list as unsubscribed, it will be forcibly subscribed once again.addnoforce: Add the contacts to the list and subscribe them to it. If the contact is already present, it will retain its subscription status, i.e. if a contact is part of the list, but unsubscribed, it will not be forcibly subscribed again.remove: Remove the contacts from the listunsub: Unsubscribe the contacts from the list
In addition to managing contacts, all of the methods covered in this guide allow you to include contact properties in your payload, thus helping you easily save relevant contact data in Mailjet. The values of these properties can later be used to personalize your emails, or to focus your campaigns on specific segments of your customer base.
